Excellent case
operating system:Not ApplicableWhilst I can appreciate the comments by the previous reviewer that the motherboard is bit squeezed on installation, I honestly can't fault it in any other respect.
For a start it comes with the 550W TruePower Trio PSU - not the TruePower II as in the specs. This is brilliant, as the Trio by itself is £70 on ebuyer! The cooling is also excellent, with a large and speed adjustable fan installed at the rear and space for two fans to cool the well-spaced drive bays at the front. I'd highly suggest getting the two front fans (about £4 each on ebuyer for proper Antec ones) - they keep my WS Raptors at a cool 27C (down from 45C without all fans off).
If you're looking for a very well built no-nonsense case, this is it. It has no silly flap at the front and includes a brilliant PSU to boot.
Compact and Solid in Build
operating system:OtherI have recently completed the installation of a Windows 2003 Server using the Antec Atlas case.
It not only looks professional, I also found it to be compact, solid in design, and easy to install all the hardware required to make it a viable Domain Controller for a small gigabit speed business network.
My only concern was that there would be sufficient room to house a standard ATX motherboard, however, my fears were unfounded in this respect.
The PSU is reasonably quiet and is certainly adequate to power a server running in a small network.
I will certainly purchase this case for all future server builds.
Average
operating system:Not ApplicableThings are a tight squeeze with the striker exteme motherboard and an Nvidia 8800GTS graphics card. There is no motherboard tray to build the computer up on a desk but it is easy to open and close with the thumb screws. Fitted with a couple of Antec 92mm fans on High as well as a 80mm fan and 2 exhaust fans and it still gets very hot inside albeit running a quad core processor, not the best piece of kit for overclocking but it should last well.
PSU issue
operating system:Windows XPThe case itself is fantastic! Well put together, plenty of room for hard drives, cooling etc. The shock mounts for the hard drives are a great feature. I built a raid 5 storage server for a customer using one. 6 weeks in and the PSU has failed. No warning, burning smell and pop!
The case is great, but don't trust the PSU on a business critical installation.
