Digital terrestrial television (DTT) is a robust, all-digital system, unlike the current analogue PAL TV system. For the first time, studio quality television can be viewed on your desktop.
WinTV-NOVA, your Personal Digital VCR: WinTV-NOVA can record your digital TV programs to disk. And with WinTV Scheduler, you can schedule your TV recordings. Recorded programmes take approximately 1.2GB of hard disk space per hour.
You can also burn your TV recordings onto a CD or DVD-ROM. A CD-ROM will hold about 30 minutes of digital TV, while a recordable DVD will store about 2 1/2 hours of digital TV. Note: Dvd/CD authering software not included.

MythTV
operating system:LinuxI bought 2 of theese for use with my mythtv television system and have not regretted it anyone wishing to use them with mythtv its as simple as download the firmware and go (or just use mythdora and it works out the box) thinking of buying more to boost my tv system
only slight con is that they get a little warm which normally would not make a difference however they are mounted inside my mythbox (which i built into a VCR! :))
but I highly recommend them

Works on Windows 7, but use proper antenna

Dont install from the cd, instead plug in your stick then goto ...

Type in the 5 digit code on the back of the stick to the right of the barcode (on my stick it was 70019) and click on the link it offers you.
and download the cd install file
At the time of writing this it was..
"CD Version 1.2c (WinTV7_CD_1.2c.exe)"
Download it and Run it, Install the (1) Drivers then (2) winTv v7.
Note you will need the install cd during the install.
The cd that came with the stick was version 1.1F so much older than the web version.
Once installed, reboot pc then run WinTV and scan for channels.
I found 88 channel with a proper TV antenna but could not find one single channel using the supplied stick antenna despite trying all over the house and rescanning. stick antenna is useless

Works great with Mythtv
operating system:LinuxDoes what it says on the tin. With a bit of seraching google and fiddling it will work with your mythtv setup too. Bought one last week, buying another today.
