A really useful device
operating system:Windows VistaI bought one of these to connect my work laptop (XP) and home desktop (Vista) to the same monitor and to my wireless keyboard and mouse (Logitech). I also installed the optional Switch2 software on both machines. It works faultlessly - I can switch from either machine by pressing ctrl+ctrl. The video changes in about 1/2 second but the mouse and keyboard take nearer to 2 seconds.
The "remote control" - actually connected by cable - doesn't seem to work on my switch, and I've reported it to Belkin, but I don't think I would use it anyway - the keyboard is much easier.

Great product
operating system:Windows 7I use this to switch between my Acer Revo PC (linux) and my desktop running Windows 7. It's a really nice and easy to use product!
Like the previous reviewer, it does indeed take about half a second to change video feeds, and a little longer for the keyboard and mouse (actually its instant but it takes your computer a few moments to realise the switch). However my push button did work, and I find that really easy to use, just hit it and it switches. Great stuff.
Overall a good little switch, and I recommend it.
Excellent product - does much more than I thought it would!
operating system:Windows 7I had to replace my old PS2 KVM switch with this because I bought a Logitech G11 USB keyboard.
Only after I bought this switch did I consider that the additional features of the new keyboard might not work (additonal USB ports and the backlit keyboard), how wrong I was!
The switch did not require any additional software. Both my desktop and laptop were automatically identified and the keyboard features work with both systems including peripheral devices plugged into my new keyboard via the USB ports i.e. Belkin N52 Nostromo gaming keyboard. TOP MARKS!
The switch is very useful too as it has a different coloured LED, yellow and green, to indicate which system you are controlling.
If you are looking for a fully functional KVM switch for control of two computers with one keyboard mouse and screen then this is the one.
My only gripe is the slight second or two delay when switching from one system to another but hey, it's a very minor point for such a great product.
Have been using for years
operating system:Windows 7I have a few of these and have been using them for years as I look after the IT for a relatively large business. Our engineers have a project that requires 2 PC's and I came back looking to buy the exact same thing that I have been using because it is so good.
There is a slight delay in switching but this is because USB keyboard/mouse is effectively plugged back in each time you switch.
I have never had any problem's at all with the ones that I have at work
