Great product for the Money

Vista compatible ...sort of
operating system:Windows VistaThis worked fine on a Dell laptop with vista premium but failed to work on a new Dell 9200 desktop (vista premium again).
Startech tech supp were very helpfull but it boiled down to the fact that despite fully updated windows the drivers were not available from MS to allow compatibility between the Dell motherboard and this product.
I also bought the ebuyer product which wasn't labeled as vista compatible but worked on both machines!!!! BUY the cheap one!!! Quick find 106553
Didnt work

I tried to use my HP Designjet HP430 plotter with this cable, as my new comp didnt come with parallel port - unfortunately this didnt work.
Instead I opted for a PCI-express card parallel port (quicklinx 161458) which worked a treat.
