This card is actually quiet good value for money for the price and also allows you to add an internal USB device via the connector on the back (Uses standard USB connector), I did have this device for a old Compaq that I had because the computer I had only had two HI Speed USB ports.
So I'm giving this 5 stars.
Worked straight away
operating system:Windows XPAs the title said, plugged it in and it worked straight away, no issues at all. I bought it to replace the E-buyer value version (32620) as I couldn't get that to work with my Toshiba HDD. Well worth the extra few quid seeing as it does actually work! And it has a lifetime warranty.
It just works faultlessly!
operating system:Windows XPI didn't actually buy this from Ebuyer (because at the time the Ebuyer page said it was a discontinued item), I had to go elsewhere to get this. I'd already bought a cheap USB 2.0 PCI card (with a VIA chipset) but had numerous problems when using my external USB HDD (loads of Event 51 errors causing data corruption on the HDD), I asked around and was recommended to get a Belkin card with the NEC chipset.
I've had this card now for over 2 weeks and not a single Event 51 error! I'm very impressed and would recommend this item.
A USB 2.0 PCI card that actually works properly
operating system:Windows XPPurchased this after two failed attempts at adding USB 2.0 to my ageing Compaq Evo D300. First of all tried an ALI card (not purchased from Ebuyer) which never worked properly. Recently ordered (from Ebuyer) a cheap Newlink (VIA chipset) card which did not work properly; would not recognise my devices or would cause pc to lock up (In the process of returning this for a refund hopefully). In the mean time I ordered this Belkin card which uses the far superior NEC chipset, all my devices work properly and first time. Worth spending that little bit extra.
