Great Scanner
operating system:Windows 7I bought this for Christmas. The quality is excellent for the price. Easy setup; Windows 7 OS so downloaded the latest driver and latest version of Epson Scan directly from the Epson site and up and running in 10 minutes.
The negative scanning is top notch and very simple. Can be done in Auto or Manual modes with many options.
Supplied software is Photoshop Elements 6 and ABBYY Fine Reader for OCR.
Arrived in less than two days on free delivery. Packaging was solid and firm and the scanner is both solid and sturdy, as one would expect from an Epson product.
I really can't recommend this producy enough. If you are after a medium to high quality home scanner which will do photos, negatives, slides as well as acting as a photocopier and optical character recognition, then this machine will more than meet your needs.

Superb piece of kit !
operating system:Windows 7Although I've owned a lot of other scanners, I don't think any of them came close to what this is capable of. Scanning film negatives is a doddle - all you do is put the negative into the supplied holder, scan it, and the scanner does the rest. You get thumbnail previews where you can manipulate the image before you do the actual scan. The scanner automatically detects the start and finish of the pictures on the negative. The holders supplied will hold 35mm film and slides, and "large format film". Of course, the scanner will also scan documents and photos up to A4 size.
My only gripe is that it would have been nice to have a holder or pocket to store the film holders when not in use, but that's only a very minor thing.
