Great Power Suppy
operating system:Windows XPBought one of these just over a month ago. It supplies sufficient power for a dual core based system with two hard drives, a DVD-rom drive and two expansion cards, and it is VERY quiet.
Not Quiet enough
operating system:Windows XPThis PSU is the loudest thing in my case by a long way!
It appears to have a thermal control which regulates the fan. I have 2 noctua fans one 120mm and one 80mm firing air into the PSU and it still believes it is necessary to run the PSU fan on full!
This is not quiet enough for a media center case. It is also for me too noisy to be an office PC, the fan is simply too loud.
I do like my PCs to be very quiet and always buy the best heatsinks and fans, replace graphic card fans etc, but I do not think anyone could tolerate the noise for a media center case unless it was stored in a cupboard.
If anyone is aware of any decent fanless for semi fanless 400W+ MATX PSU I would buy one straight away!
Quality control not great
operating system:Not ApplicableThe quality control does not appear to be great. I have 3 of these power supplies. 1 is quiet, 1 is almost quiet and the other is very noisy.
I am going to try another PSU (164363) and see if it is any better.
Quiet?!?!??!?
operating system:Windows VistaHow can the previous person say that this PSU is quiet?
This PSU is very very loud, I wish I could send it back, I am building a HTPC, but this is it is too much even for a desktop PC
