operating system:Windows VistaThis is a good drive. Vista wouldnt install on 1tb itself but i think that is more my system. (it worked fine on 500GB partition)

operating system:Windows XPThe 5 year warranty is a nice touch... not that you'll need it.
I use these drives because in over 20 years of computing, and hundreds of drives, I've only ever had one Seagate fail.
Performance is outstanding, the drive is very quiet, and it does what it's supposed to do - work so well I don't even think about the drive performance!
I have two of these running as a striped RAID for speed with my video editing rig now - editing full HD video has never been so quick.

operating system:OtherJust installed Windows 7 RTM onto my system so thought I'd update you all.
I have 7 installed on a smaller 150g drive, but it read the TB drive fine, partioned up into 2 logical drives and they work fine.
Buying another one for backup and sticking it in the server

operating system:Windows 7i bought 2 of these drives i installed them with raid on an asus board 1.81tb. no problem of any kind and speeds fine.
i have used a few kinds of drives over the years & any drive can fail. ive had 1 seagate fail after 2 & 1/2 years and ebuyer sorted it so that seagate gave me a better 1 as a replacement, so i use seagate every time
