LiDE scanner with CIS sensor

9600x9600dpi film scanning
Incredibly high resolution 9600x9600dpi scans from 35mm film are possible thanks to a dedicated clip-on film scanning unit (supplied). This means massive enlargements and intricately detailed prints can be achieved from your 35mm film negatives/positives.
4800x4800dpi reflective scanning
The flatbed scanner can be used in any position, providing you with accurate, clear and crisp images and document scans up to 4800x4800dpi optical resolution.

Supported by ScanGear, QARE achieves retouching effects without an increase in cost.
Software included
Canon’s MP Navigator EX software manages scanned files: convert documents to searchable PDFs, protect with passwords and use over 15 language OCR.

Canon LiDE 700F Flatbed A4 Scanner
operating system:Windows 7Initially I bought a dedicated slide scanner costing twice as much as the Lide but gave up on it after many hours of trying. It took me a few hours to get the hang of slide scanning with the Lide but I'm eventually pleased with the results. I've scanned about 30 slides that were nearly 40 years old and am more than pleased with the results. I can now scan about 7 slides in an hour on the maximum 4800 dpi resolution. At this resolution a scan takes 7 minutes although you can scan at lower resolutions much faster. Obviously it's fiddly.
The Lide also appears to be a fine A4 scanner, too. For the money charged I don't think you could find a better scanner.
