Purchased this because i own a TX750-5 year warr, havnt had any problems, the voltages stay really steady great for overclocking, and extreme gaming.
Purchased the HX850 because it is a new lineup for Corsair and like i mentioned before a 7 year warranty, which equals quality components.
I LOVE CORSAIR PRODUCTS, cant wait to purchase the NEW 256GB SSD.

Power to Corsair
operating system:Windows VistaI purchased this PSU based on [H]ardOCP's review and have been very impressed with it. I suggest looking @ their review (google HardOCP HX850W) and reading it, along with their power supply testing methodology article.
With that out of the way: Corsair's modular cabling system is one of the best that I've dealt with, the flat black cables look good and are easy to route out of the way. The PSU is quiet and it runs very cool at moderate loads, and by all indications this thing has some of the tightest voltage regulation and lowest ripple values of any PSU in this wattage range.
There are a few good ~850w units on the market right now, this is one of the-if not THE-best.
What a PSU!
operating system:Windows 7Installed in minutes and fired it up. I now realise how noisy my old no-name 500W PSU was - I can now hear my case and CPU fans but that's a project for another day!
On idle, the fan is so slow and quiet I had to hold a match to the rear of the PSU to make sure the PSU fan was actually doing something.
The PSU comes with all the cables you could want. It has a few fixed non-modular cables including standard 24 pin ATX, PCI-E 8 6/8 pin, 4/6 pin CPU. It comes with a case to keep all the other cables safe.
I have an overclocked AMD X3 720 (4 cores unlocked @ 3.3GHz), 4GB 1600 DDR3, ASUS HD 5850, BFG 9600GT (for physx), Creative X-fi titanium, 2x WDC 6401AALS drives and an Optiarc DVD-RW running and have not noticed any increase in fan noise and everything appears to be rock solid.
Add to that the Corsair 7 year warranty and I reckon you really can't go wrong with this PSU.
130 quid might seem like a lot of money but so many people overlook this critical component and pay the price with unstable systems etc. Worth every penny.
