DD-WRT IS Supported
Had this router delivered yesterday and was able to flash it with the latest DD-WRT firmware. See http://wrt160nl.org/
The router is good looking and has very good throughput. Wireless was easily set-up and my laptop with 802.11g connected fine.
Nice router
operating system:Windows 7I can also confirm that DD-WRT is now supported, i am currently using it as an AP connected to a netgear ADSL router, setup was pretty straight forward aswell. The Storage port is also a great feature if you know how to configure it properly. Overall a really great router.
Also a big thumbs up to ebuyer, for lightning quick next day delivery:)
DD-WRT NOT SUPPORTED (yet)
Great router as it stands but a warning to those of you who want to pop a custom firmware on it, DD-WRT is NOT supported on this model. It uses the atheros chipset instead of the broadcom (WRT160N)
I bought one after seeing LINUX assuming it was bound to be supported only to be dissapointed.
Luckily a friend had a WRT160N he was willing to swap so I did not have to return it (I needed VPN capabilities of DD-WRT)
Just a warning for those who might make the same mistake.
Lesson of the day is: Check with DD-WRT BEFORE buying anything.
3 stars for changing the chipset to an unsupported one, maybe unfair but hey, its my review
