Brilliant
operating system:OtherI have the RTM copy of this OS, its fantastic. Very few bugs, easy to install. Gives you the option to upgrade vista or install a fresh copy.
Important to note, it does not ask for the serial key until after installation, may catch a few users out.
Runs quickly and smoothly, not a huge difference in boot speed from Vista ultimate.
New UAC features are very good and most apps work with it. increased compatibility mode - battlefield 1942 runs much better than on vista.
Homegroup is a useful feature for the home user, automatic sharing of files with no security issues for to worry about.
The IE issue could catch a few out, I suggest keeping an .exe of your favourite Browser on a Pen Drive/CD for easy installation once you've installed the base OS.
Easy to use for a person whose been using vista since its release.
Recommended.

Moving from vista to 7
operating system:Windows VistaAfter having had Vista from day one I thought I would try the same with 7.Every one seems to hate vista but it's now fixed.7 is NOT you will have trouble with Blueray and antivirus to start with....Yes it's quicker to boot than vista but it takes longer to load the operating system but that said it starts faster and moves data around better.Backups are also faster .I have also been testing this for ages but in a virtual machine so when booting up with 4 Gig of ram and it only use's 3 was not expected.Yes I know that vista showed 4 gig but didn't use it all.Changing themes in 7 is also worth the 5 stars on it's own.overall I hope this is going to be a vista system that just works
