Truly a hidden gem - deserves serious consideration
operating system:Windows 7Background to my choice:-
A while ago I needed a combined monitor / tv to save having yet a third screen in the Study. I was much taken with the LG M2294; loads of extras that I might want later, but bundled in to what was a good price. Terrific device when compared with what I had.
Fine I'll keep in with LG's offerings, I thought.
Recently I needed a new small TV with lots of inputs for my boat; Freeview, Satellite, DVD player. What's on the market? - Ebuyer first port of call.
M227WD seemed a good buy - ah, but M237WD for a little bit more has a much bigger screen (21.5 to true 23"). Then I looked at the comments - rubbish sound reproduction reported.
I "did a google" and came up with this monitor. Very strange - Why does it not show when searching for LG on this site????
So that's why I've bought the M2362,
Excellent 5W sound from its two speakers,
Larger screen without a huge increase in overall size,
Decent 100 x 100mm Vesa mount (important to me)
2 x Scarts
DVI
VGA
Component
Composite
HDMI
1920 x 1028 resolution
USB
SO there you have it
M227 good monitor, questionable sound, but very keen price
M237 ditto twice, larger screen, not very good (?) wall mount £20 more
M2362 Good sound, but yet another £20.
Take your pick......

operating system:Not ApplicableReally slick nice and handsome! Sweet touch screen controls and a pretty standard remote. Its not big and bulky its just perfect for a tiny bedroom. Got my xbox 360, wii, ps3 and my pc all connected and easily and quickly able to change between them.
Don't believe there's a point in mentioning the specs as its all mentioned already so all in all, its a great buy for a couple of thousands of pennies!
And yeh... like all things we never are satisfied so i'm moving up to a 32" LED LG5900 soon. JUST got to get my hands on one of them!
Bargain
operating system:Windows 7For the measly price of £185 (current Dec 2010) you'll find this TV (+Monitor) a bargain. The connectivity has already been mentioned, what else would you need.
Picture (DVI) brilliant (good enough for Bad Company 2 1920 X 1080 via an old 8800GTX)
Picture (DVB) brilliant (does a great job of upscaling the feed)
Picture (Sky via Scart) brilliant (again upscaling great)
Sound awesome - what would you expect from a TV in the bedroom 5:1?
Worth every penny (ordered on Wednesday delivered on Thursday AM). Thanks Ebuyer.
Question
Does this TV definitely have built in freeview?
YES freeview is built in
