Worth the money
operating system:Windows 7First off, I'll start by saying this thing is MASSIVE so check your case dimensions first.
Real world figures:
Q6600 @ 2.88Ghz with Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (with MX-3) on MAX 2500RPM 1 hour Prime95 = 71 degrees C on the hottest core
Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz with Noctua NH-D14 @ 900RPM 1 Hours Prime95 = 50 degrees C on the hottest core
I think the results speak for themselves!
Highly recommended, it's not cheap but you get whet you pay for.

operating system:Windows 7I got this to replace a noisy Zalman 9700 that was getting old and holding back my overclocks and I'm stunned by how well it's performing. I'm currently running an AMD 940 BE @ 3.8Ghz/1.44v (with IC Diamond 7 Carat TIM) and it doesn't go over 49 degrees (ambient 23-24 degrees) at 100% load during torture testing. This is also on the world's oldest AM2+ motherboard as well (Asus M3A).
It IS a big cooler but it does fit in my old Antec 300 quite nicely. I did spend a lot of time crying when trying to screw the top 2 motherboard screws back in because there isn't much room to maneuver with the cooler installed. That's pretty much the only downside I had really and that's hardly Noctua's fault!
It comes with a great package including all motherboard fixings, Noctua TIM, a ULNA cable for reducing fan voltages/speeds and a funky metal Noctua case badge. It's also very quiet. I had to open up my case and check the fans were actually working at stock speeds, although I do have some high CFM Yate Loons installed as well...
To sum up: This is an amazing cooler! If your case can accomodate it and you want a decent overclock without crazy temperatures, this cooler is worth every penny and then a few more... It's the best £60 I've spent in ages!
THE! Coolest CPU Air Cooler
operating system:Windows 7This cooler is a piece of cake to install if you have an AM3 board. No need to take motherboard out unless the cooler you used previously got rid of the standard backplate which you will need to fit this cooler.
I was using the Antec freezer 7 pro v2 on a 1090t at 1.35v 3.6 GHz ambient temp 22c; idle 32c load 50-55c.
This beaut of a cooler on a 1090t 1.536v at 4.12 GHz ambient temp 22c; idle 28c load 55c.
These temps above are the CPU Die temps, the core temps are about five degrees below those figures.
You can get these volts down if you use the latest chipset, I'm using a MSI 790FX-GD70 board which is why I have to use higher volts.
Ebuyer superb in everyway as always. Decent packaging received undamaged.
This cooler is selling like hot cakes and now I know why!

Fantastic cooler! It's massive but If you have a big enough case it will accomodate it nicely! Installation was straight forward, temps are great.
