operating system:Windows 7Beautiful mouse! i have a desktop and needed a wireless mouse and keyboard, i saw this and fell in love with it. It really is stunning.
It takes a little while getting used to the scroll, but once you have, its so fun to use and it looks superb!
The only criticism i have of this mouse is that it doesn't have a 'back' button on the left side which most mice of nowadays which i find very very useful.
Flat out different.
operating system:Windows 7Let just say , I love working with trackballs and trackpads. That being said this Arc Touch could be the first bit of thinking about design that I have seen microsoft do in quite a while. It is focussed on the mobile market which which means when not in use the whole body of the mouse 'clicks' flat removing the curve and reducing the space needed to slide it into your case along side your laptop.
It is response, tactile and comfortable and I guess if I were to be gaming on the move it would be the goto mouse if portability and style were the top of my concerns.
Good mouse, but not good battery life
operating system:Windows 7A nice looking mouse and very responsive, but unfortunately, the battery life didn't come close to the advertised "6 months". It came with Duracell batteries which I would've expected to give at least the 5-6 months.
I got the mouse in the beginning of September (1 and half months ago) and for the past week, the red LED has been flashing to indicate that the battery was low. Kinda surprised so I assumed it was a glitch. However, today, after 25% of the advertised battery life, the mouse is dead...
I use the mouse about 6-7 hours a day - which i assume is average for any user who is likely to pay £40+ for a mouse.
Also, the rubber material is a nice touch, but it's not really THAT comfortable - it's designed to work with both hands so it's symmetrical and not shaped for either hand.
Not worth it
operating system:Windows 7This is a very cool mouse, very responsive and looks great. But you are paying for style not function.
It does take a little getting used to on the scroll, but not that much. I did find that the mouse gave me a bit of cramp but that was probably extended attempts to access middle click.
This is where the mouse is a big fail. There is no way to reliabely access middle-click. You have to double-click the touch area and you will be lucky to get it to activate every other go. I don;t think this is a "getting used to it" problem as I have tried a lot. It just doesn't do middle-click well at all. For many people this would be a minor issue, if any. But if you need middle click on a mouse then do not get this.
Not had it long enough to comment on battery life but in my experience you only ever get anything like the stated life if you are an occaisional user (
