Important notes on DVB-T reception:
DVB-T reception is depending on location and might be impaired by thick or steel-enforced walls, and high neighboring buildings. In such environments, an outdoor / roof-top DVB-T antenna is required. Mobile reception of DVB-T, e.g. in a car or train, is in general not possible. For best reception a roof-top antenna is advised.

operating system:Windows 7Having received my replacement device I can happily report that this works as it should.
When connected to the main coax it found 107 channels including the current HD channels, first scan.
I need to get a decent indoor aerial as the room it will be used in doesn't have a socket, no reflection on the product though, just the dodgy wiring here. I expect to lose some channels of the 107 but that's just tough!
EPG = Good
Now>Next info = Good
Chennel selection = Good
Quality of software = Good
Quality of hardware = Good
Quality of viewing = Good
Speed to switch channels = 3secs, even my Topfield 5810 PVR took about that long too!
Digital Radio = Good (good selection of channels too)
Remote works well, just need to have the USB stick facing the room. There is a blue back-light when it is on and working so you know what way round to position it.
Haven't tested EPG recording, didn't get it to have it on all the time like the PVR in living room!
Ran it on the older 2.66GHz dual-core system with Win7 just installed fresh. This hardly touched the CPU for resources, peaked at 6% CPU load when I switched to a HD channel, then levelled off at 4%. Doesn't make my quad core do anything above standard idle!
CONS:
No real gripes.
Included mini aerial is only good if you have good line of sight of a transmitter. Central London in-between flats on ground level, with this connected I picked up ZERO channels. But hey, they aren't selling aerials!! Works off "main" feed no probs.
Not sure what power draw this has if used on a laptop running off batteries, my guess is average-to-high, so in the realms of attached hard disk-like power draw.
Never got a response from Manufacturer when I sent in a ticket about the issues I had with the first one.
DVB T2
operating system:Windows 7This product works fine within win 7 media center but for one small bug.When watching BBC HD or channel 4 HD sound is lost when channel switches from stereo to 5.1 sound. i.e. when adverts come on. This does not appear to happen when you use pinnacles own software suggesting there is a bug in the media center driver.
I am waiting for support to come back to me with a resolution to the problem. Overwise this is product works perfectly
Great little piece of kit
operating system:Windows 7The first one I received was DOA so I returned it and got a replacement a few days later.
Then the MCX to Coax adapter broke so I had to keep it in using a combination of sellotape and blu-tack.
However since the Digital Switchover and increase in transmitter power I can receive all the channels.
Set up is dead easy. Put the stick in. Connect the aerial. Install the drivers and most importantly DON'T use the TV viewing software that comes with it. It's appalling.
I use Windows Media Center. Just had to perform a channel scan and everything was there.
NOTE: Apparently HD channels are not compatible with Vista and XP's Media Center.
Disappointing
operating system:Windows 7All worked fine with no installation problems but, sadly, had to return for refund because of poor picture quality. I bought this tuner to replace an old £18 PCI SD card but was disappointed to note the SD quality of the Nanostick was noticeably worse.
Understandingly the HD quality was better but the overall performance forced a decision to return.
In its favour, it should be noted that the Nanostick is half the price of an equivalent PCI-E card and it's possible that many may judge its quality as adequate.
