great fan
great fan and very very quiet, the yellow gromit/thingys in the picture are actually rubber and you don't get screws with it either, you get little plastic arrow head type plugs for quick installation, i have it plugged into a molex connector and not the mobo and still can't hear it, it also has a little switch to alter the speed, all in all i'm very happy, and also very happy with ebuyer for a very quick delivery (ordered sat 29/1/11 came monday 31st with super saver) Thanks guys!
Good replacement unit
operating system:Not ApplicableI've had an Antec P180B case for over four years now and the case fans were getting a bit noisy. I decided to replace them with 3 of these fans, though the top exhaust fan wouldn't fit due to it having two 'hooks' at one end. That's more of an issue with the case rather than the fans however.
The other two fitted fine and are significantly quieter than the OEM Antec fan units. Having those yellow rubber attachments presumably cuts down on chassis vibration too. Well recommended - certainly at this price.
SO glad I bought this
operating system:Windows XPI'd been worried about the temp. inside my case steadily creeping up; especially the probe I have slid into the CPU heatsink. With the old fan (case stock unit) I was registering 47C+ on the probe in CPU, and up to 50C for the HDDs. Currently I'm down to 40.5C in the CPU, and I'm not certain it's actually reached its equilibrium yet.
Great fan, great price. Rubber mounting with the little pegs is just brilliant, so simple and quick.
Absolutly silent
operating system:Windows VistaIbought an Artic Cooling F12 which was supposed to be silent, needless to say it wasn't, I was reluctant to buy another 120mm fan but after reading some reviews I thought I would give this one a go.
This arrived this morning and was very quick to install with the plastic push in plus supplied, they push straight into the yellow rubber mounts which solve vibration issues as well.
Even on the High speed setting the fan is silent, I have just put this in my HTPC and the power supply makes more noise, I cannot recommend this fan enough!!
