DVD-RW DL SATA
Following up from my recent review I just wanted to say I was using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, so this DVD_RW DL is fully compatible with 64-bit systems.

Using Windows 7 64-bit and my old DVD-DL was old and would no longer burn dual layer discs.
I ordered this Pioneer DVRS19LBK as an upgrade and replacement. Made the order on a Tuesday for delivery on Thursday. It arrived promptly at 9am Thursday morning. Such excellent service from Ebuyer is why I always buy from here.
Plugged it in and switched it on. Windows automatically detected it and installed the drivers. Decided to burn a dual layer DVD to test it out. Ran smoothly, at reasonable speed and almost totally silently. No problems at all.
Although it does come with the appropriate size screws to fix it into the case, it does not come with any SATA cable. No big deal. It also has a CD with Nero Essentials on it as a bonus but I have heard that Nero Essentials is not fully compatible with 64-bit Windows 7. I use other software anyway (BurnAware and PowerISO) but it is good of Pioneer to include Nero anyway for people to get started with.
I highly recommend this product for compatibility, ease of installation and quality.
Fantastic DVD Drive!
operating system:Windows 7I was amazed at the operating noise level of this drive... it's almost totally silent - apart from when you first put a disk in, and then it spins up to speed and you can just about hear that. Otherwise, it's very quiet indeed. The facia isn't quite 'black' it's a little lighter, almost verging on charcoal in colour, so it's ever so slightly lighter in tone than my Antec DF-85 case - which is as black as coal. :)
The drive does all what it says it does at very much the speeds advertised. For the price this is a great little drive and you will not be disappointed in the least.
I give it 5 stars for being one of the best all-round DVD drives I've ever bought!
