Why OverClock when this CPU is all One Needs

I had the option to spend £25-30 Extra for the unlocked multiplier, for that X-tra fine-tuning overclock (for when you hit the base clock wall...
For a Change I think intel have developed a TOP END i5 4x Core CPU which leaves the i5 750 (2.66Ghz) i5 760 (2.8Ghz) obsolete.
Off course their will be those who have already invested in the P55 sata 6 USB 3 New LGA1156 Lynnfield Motherboard. And are happy with last years older 1st Gen i5 CPU's they OC well, and are often more expensive (at time of print) than the New 2nd Gen: Core i5-2500 3.3GHz - Turbo 3.7Ghz).
So if you are needing a new Mobo and CPU the SandyBridge is NO Brainier... via Socket LGA1155, also takes same cooler as LGA1156.
So don't worry... The technology is any GEEKs Paradise.
The Core i5-2500 3.3GHz is much faster at stock with TURBO reaching 3.7Ghz out off the Box, and personally Im more than happy with nippy performance, together with very low Temps, than risking the Life or Stability of my New CPU on a 4.6Ghz Overclock, just for bragging rights.. lol :)
Together with my GigaByte P67 UD4 Motherboard, the Core i5-2500 3.3GHz sings along very well, and for the first time in years, intel have released a medium - high end chip at a Price Point that leaves all AMD Quad & Hexacore CPUs - out Classed in every department, gaming, multitasking, and for the enthusiast off course superb overclocking for those who wish.

PS. if you do still want more power without O'Clocking then go SandyBridge 3.4Ghz i7 HT CPUs, eBuyers Prices are 1st rate. at only another 70 Quid extra.
VERY fast
operating system:LinuxKnocks spots of my old 2.66GHz Core-II duo, 3-4x performance. 1.333GHx DDR3 memory also gives significant improvement over the 1.333GHz DDR2 memory in last system.
I opted to not go for the 'K' version as my system is on 24x7 I'm more concerned with stability than peak performance.

Would be great if somebody knew how to enable the hyperthreading as it's almost certainly the same silicon as the i7-2600 :-)

Err dude you know you can alter the turbo to get 5 - 5.2Ghz obviously you couldn't run that day to day but 4.8 on the k is easily attainable for day to day use and 4.5Ghz can be done in the asus uefi with 1 click.
and you never know when you might need that performance, although at stock these are awesome and i probably wont over clock mine for a long time.
