Zoom ADSL Bridge Modem 2/2+ Product Description
computer or a router. The Model 5715 provides a very stable system installation
with a simplified set of configuration options to ensure problem free operation.
The Bridge Modem works with any operating system which supports an Internet
browser, including Windows, Macintosh OS and Linux. The Zoom Bridge Modem
automatically detects the ADSL network settings. The Model 5715 also supports the
use of third party PPPoE client software to provide compatibility with the widest
range of service providers.
For most installations, the Model 5715 simply plugs into the ADSL-provisioned
phone line and uses the factory settings. In the unusual event the factory default
settings need to be changed, an easy-to-use graphic interface is accessed
using any Web browser software.

Superb Modem
operating system:Windows 7This modem works great with my plus net adsl PPPoA connection. They have live chat tech support which helped me when I couldn't get it to work.
To configure, you need to set your lan IP to 192.168.1.2 and gateway/dns to 192.168.1.1 then you'll be able to go to http://192.168.1.1 to access the internal control panel and set up the VCI/VPI and other values as per your ISP's instructions. Once done, you can either leave it plugged in and create a new PPPoE connection in windows, or you can plug it into a router.
Set up the PPPoE connection in your router, wait a couple of minutes, and you'll be off. My router is an ASUS RT-N12 flashed with DD-WRT firmware.
No drivers required, CD supposedly contains a manual that probably tells you the above, but I don't have a CD drive!

operating system:Not ApplicableAfter using 2 of these on 2 sites I can't complain at all. Initially I had some issues but I was setting it up with settings as per the way I always I have set up modemrouters for years, i.e. VCI 0,38 but both of these units, in 2 different counties, required me to use LLC instead. Other than that the quick start guide was all I needed to get me set up ready for PPPoE from my Buffalo WHR-G300N cable routers.
Pretty much just does what it says on the tin. There are some advanced functionssettings and diagnostics within the router which I can see may be handy at some point.
