operating system:Windows 7Fantastic Piece of kit, was dubious because of the price, but this screams quality and performance.
Does need cat6e cables for full 1Gbps performance. But worth it!

This does not require cat6 cables to function at full speed as cat5e is rated at gigabit speeds at a distance upto 100m. as long as its in good condition it should function at those speeds.
also ensure you have gigabit network cards installed in all computers otherwise there is no point to having gigabit networking.
