Does exactly as it says on the tin
operating system:Windows 7Normally hate paying through the teeth for costly microsoft products, but wanted Win 7 Pro for my new build. Utterly impressed with it so far, I have to say. Not only does it look much better than XP, but it's so much more functional. It contains and updates drivers out of the box. Haven't had to install drivers for my onboard LAN, sound or even GFX. It also has the AMD cool and quiet driver built in, if you're on an AMD system.
Regarding the review mentioning windows 8. Microsoft are committed to supporting Win7 Pro until 2020, so I really wouldn't worry about any of that.
Only downpoint I'd throw in is some people get a slow install bug unless they disable legacy floppy or USB support in their BIOS. Google about it. It's quite incredible MS haven't fixed that. I got the bug and it would've taken about 14 hours to install until I found out about it and disabled the floppy drive (which I don't have anyway), then it was done start to finish in 15 minutes lol.
In summary, great operating system. Yes Microsoft are crazy expensive but this is the cheapest you'll get it. Good job ebuyer.

if it says.. 1 PC - OEM - DVD,, can it be used in more than one pc ?? ..just that i been told if its OEM it can be used in a numer of pc's..so i dont no if i should buy this as i have 4 desk tops wich could do with windows 7 but i dont wanta pay like £450.00 !!
Buyers Comment: Legally the software is only licensed for use on 1 PC, and can not be transferred once installed on the PC
Best Microsoft OS
operating system:Not ApplicableWindows 7 isnt AMAZING but it is no-doubt the best version of Windows out and I would highly recommend it to you. However, rumor has it Windows 8 will be out soon so if I were you I would wait for that version of Windows to be released before upgrading my OS.<br />

Buyers Comment: Although there are many rumours about the release of Windows 8, Microsoft have started a 3 year cycle on their OS release, which would mean aprx Oct 2012. Windows 8 is still in very early Beta versions, so I would expect at least another year of testing before we see a Release Candidate for the public to test
Windows on a DVD... whatever next? :-O
operating system:Windows 7It's Windows 7 x64 with Service pack 1, on a DVD. Saves you having to do an extra install with SP1 separately, which is always good.
Linux is free. Microsoft is expensive. That's life, I'm afraid.
Thanks to Ebuyer for selling this software a lot cheaper than many other outlets. It arrived on time and without any fuss, as always.
