Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Performance Liquid Product Description
Cooler
The Corsair Hydro Series H60 is a fantastic choice for cooling. With a new micro-channel cold plate and a split-flow designed manifold, the H60 brings remarkable new technologies to an affordable price point. If that weren’t enough, the H60 also features an all-new fan, custom designed to offer enhanced static pressure, which means better cooling.
Quieter
You don’t have to sacrifice performance to build a quiet system. Most high-performance coolers use crude, outdated designs that rely on two techniques: put a huge hunk of metal in your case or crank the fan to obnoxiously loud noise levels. The Hydro Series coolers feature innovative, cutting-edge designs that utilize the superior thermal conductivity of liquid over air to provide fantastic cooling at much lower noise levels. In fact, the H60 is similar in noise levels to a 120mm case fan you probably already have.
Easy to Install
Almost any case with a rear 120mm fan mount location can house the Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler. And don’t worry about compatibility with your CPU, we’ve got you covered. AMD® sockets AM2 and AM3 are covered, and without having to install a custom backplate, making the H60 a great choice for any modern AMD CPU up to the new Phenom six-core processors. And when it comes to Intel®, don’t worry about it. Whether you’ve got Socket LGA775, LGA1155, LGA1156, or LGA1366, we’ve got compatibility inside the box. That’s right, even the brand new Core i5 and Core i7 2x00 series processors are supported, right out of the box.

Fantastic
operating system:Windows 7Phenon X4 965 + GTX 570
Having recenty purchased a GTX570 and battlefield 3, my standard CPU cooler was sounding like a jet aircraft, with temps upto about 61c. (Idles around 36) which meant I could only really play with headphones.
I initially purchased the "Arctic Freezer 7 pro, Rev 2".
Although idle temps dropped to about 32 at full speed, ingame temps actually raised to about 68c - which is not good for an X4!
I took off the thermal paste that came with it, and applied branded arctic thermal paste - exactly the same.
I was reluctant to sped £60 at first on the H60, but I am so glad that I did!
Now, Idle Temps are as low as 25c (when at full speed).
When CPU fan is in smart mode, it sits at about 29/30c.
When under full load (CPU tester / prime 95) the max temp I have seen so far is 47c. (Fan in smart mode)
When CPU fan set to max via bios, 44c was the max seen.
Installation:
Apart from the stock CPU and the arctic freezer, i have never installed a CPU heatsink etc before - and this was very easy.
It took a total of about 10 mins, although I had a fiddle with a few other case fans.
The fan setup of your case will determine the best position to fit it, and as many forums will show you, it will vary from person to person, setup to setup.
the pipes are flexible, but are rather stiff, and so when installing you have to be pretty stern with them to make sure you done release the CPu block or it will spring away!
All the reviews have different opinions on what way to install the radiator / fan.
And the best for you will be determined by your individual case layout / setup.
Personally, I would leave the paste thats already on there.
You can hear the pump.
The only way i can describe the noise, is that it sounds like a HDD when its searching for something - although the pump doesn't sound as loud.
Another huge advantage, is that the temp inside the case seems to have dropped aswell.
Impressed with first venture...
operating system:Windows 7To be fair, this is the first aftermarket cooler I have purchased, but nonetheless I am very impressed by the H60. I have it fitted to my AMD 1100T X6 system. Most people who know these CPUs know that like most of the Phenom 2 line, the "core" temperature readings of these CPUs are inaccurate.
Core Temp was previously reporting idle temps of about 28c, this has now gone down to 20c. Hardware monitor has shown an idle temp of 36c go down to approx 30c. Previously when gaming my temps would rise to approx 51c, now even when torture testing the temp hasn't gone higher than 46c (or 34c if you ask Core Temp).
Installation of the radiator and fan were initially a bit tricky, but the pictorial instructions are clear and no back plate is required for AMD cpus. Thermal interface compound is also provided on the copper plate already. The unit itself is audible but not loud unless the fan is at full pelt. I haven't had it go at full pelt without forcing it to, but when it is it's cooling efficiency seems very high. I shall be overclocking soon to see how far this can be pushed.
Excellent
operating system:Windows 7This is a very good cooler using a core 2 duo at 3.06ghz 100% load stock fan 82 degrees c. core 2 duo at 3.5 100% load with arctic pro rev 2 freezer 7 52 degrees c. Corsair h60 core 2 duo at 3.5ghz 100% load 42 degrees c. Excellent thats 40 degrees lower than a stock cooler, best water cooler out! A MUST HAVE!!
Corsair Hydro Series H60
operating system:Windows 7I had one of these for around 3 days, was testing it for a friend.
Absolutely amazing product, I will be buying one soon.
Very easy to install, if you want to know how to, here's a video from Corsair themselves.
