Cracking monitor for the price!
Just got myself one of these as my 19" monitor was getting somewhat tired but didnt want to spend out silly money on a replacement. I have got to say im really happy with it, got a pc and xbox hooked up to it in full hd and the quality for this price is spot on. Ok i dare say if you put it against some real high end screen it wouldnt stand toe to toe with it but for the average user or people on a budget like I myself was you really wont be disappointed. Only 1 slight negative point I have to make is that it came with a european plug, there was something which looked like a uk adaptor in the box but it didnt fit the 2 pin plug supplied however much I tried so i had to cut it off and re wire it myself which is no bother to me but bare this in mind if you aren't confident in doing so. I may have just been unlucky and only received half the converter. Anyway cheers ebuyer good stuff as ever.
Excellent monitor despite dead pixel
operating system:Windows 7Very happy with the monitor, although it has a dreaded DEAD PIXEL in the lower right hand corner. :-( Shame, but until screen manufacturers can be bothered to build all screens to Class I standard it's something that us customers will have to live with (at this price bracket anyway). I called ViewSonic's customer service team who informed me that as this is a VX screen the zero dead pixel policy does not apply, so please be aware of this if a 'spotless' screen is especially important to you! Despite this, the screen seems well-made and the stand is far sturdier than the poor quality one that my last Asus screen came with. The screen is bright and colours are accurate and vivid. Viewing angles aren't bad at all, but this is not an IPS display so don't expect anything too amazing here. Unlike some other reviewers, I personally don't find the LED, HDMI and 1080p logos on the case at all detracting. The box came with an HDMI cable and two (!) UK plugs, so I can't complain about the compliment of cables included. Setup was easy; the only the thing that had to be adjusted was the input setting, from AV to PC mode. Hoping no other pixels decide to blow, but if they did I'd probably be tempted to upgrade to one of ViewSonic's VP screens instead (which does have the famed ZDP policy). Not accounting for the obvious delays expected over the holiday period, delivery from Ebuyer was prompt under next day delivery - top marks there!
