Very Fast!
operating system:Mac OSXInstalled one of these in a MacBook Pro (2011).
When I first tried it I wasn't too happy, it stalled all the time; now since installing the (june) firmware update the stalling issues have (so far) been fixed, and all I can say is you won't believe the difference!
On OSX (Snow Leopard) I get from power button to desk-to in less than 12 seconds, most applications load in one bounce, bigger apps take two, haven't found any that take longer, loading and saving most files are just instant.
It's an expensive upgrade, but well worth it if you can.

Works great! 18 second boot up time into OSX Lion 10.7.1.
I never experienced any problems at all but just remember to upgrade the firmware to the latest version BEFORE copying all your data/doing a fresh install. Better safe than sorry :)

M4 256GB SSD
operating system:Mac OSXVery impressive performance increase since installing this in my mid 2010 MBP.
Used SuperDuper to clone the Momentus XT (500GB) that was in the machine on to this drive in an external caddy and popped it straight in. OSX Lion 10.7.2 did its stuff and booted without a problem.
The performance from the XT was very good but the vibration (even on SD28) was always noticeable, now there is (obviously) none. The main improvement is the general feel of the OS, all programs are open on 1 bounce, boot is consistently about 25 seconds and video rendering / converting is 75% quicker.
Not sure on battery life, indicator shows 6 1/2 hours but getting nearer 5 1/2 hours.
I enabled TRIM support via Terminal (google it), not sure of the benefits though as the drive has pretty good garbage collection intrinsically.
This is my first experience of an SSD and I have to say Wow, I will put them in all my future machines and smaller ones for the OS in my existing PCs. Impressed
