Great card
operating system:Windows 7Works on win7 no problem. Plug in, install drivers and away you go.
Runs Bad Company 2 on max settings without any trouble.
Not only is it future proof but at a much lower cost than the 560 Ti you would stupid not to go for this version.
From the research I have done the 560 Ti is only marginally better than this card in terms of performance, the only other good reason to get the Ti version is if you want to use 3D vision on multiple displays.
so unless you plan on using 3D vision surround this card is a clear winner.
Amazing Card
operating system:Windows 7Just a quick view of my thoughts about this card. I went from an xfx 6850 gpu to this one and although the performance increase is not massive the quietness of this card more than makes up for it. My old card sounded like a hurricane, this card is quieter than my system fans even on full load. I have not overclocked this card yet but today I played crysis 2 in dx11 at 1080p res in ultra settings and also with the high res pack installed and this card did not miss a beat so I don't think I will need to overclock for some time. In my opinion this card should be bought instead of the gtx 460 as its faster, uses less power and is newer architecture, it also runs much cooler too. Save some cash and buy this over the gtx 560 ti because on paper the ti is faster but in real world gaming I doubt you will tell the diffrence.
Benchmarks.
operating system:Windows 7PC configuration -
Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z Z68 Socket 1155 mATX motherboard
Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz CPU
1TB Samsung 7200rpm 32mb cache HDD
6GB Crucial DDR3 1066MHz memory
Gigabyte GTX 560 OC Edition 1GB 256bit GPU
Some games are capped at 60FPS because of the monitor refresh rate, all are benchmarked on the highest settings -
GTA4 - 65fps
COD BO - 60fps
Farcry - 75fps
Left 4 Dead - 60fps
H.A.W.X 2 - 59fps
Overall a excellent graphics card for the price with easy installation and effective cooling system with isn't too big for an average mATX case.
I have never seen the temperature of this card exceed a very respectable 32c and that was checked after several hours of heavy gaming.
As a side note, I installed this card along with a CIT 850w PSU and used one of the two included molex to 6 pin adaptors and it all works perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this card - better than I expected, easily worth the money.
Great Card
operating system:Windows VistaI'm using this card with a i5 2500k and 4gb RAM and it runs Crysis comfortably and cooly at maximum settings. On top of that it is virtually silent in comparison to most cards on the market and keeps as cool as a cucumber. Overclocking is a breeze, and I've safely bumped up the clock speed by 200+MHz with no dramatic increase in temperature or instability. Great card!
