Wan connection type (1483 Bridge)
It's not true!! This model is fully capable of negotiate this type of connection according to the manual. I have actually come across this model upon searching around for a Gigabit Wireless-N ADSL Modem Router and considering it as my next home router considering also extra-features like BitTorrent client and NAS/Print Server!!
I was looking also at the Linksys WAG320 which seem to have similar specs but I read far too many bad reviews of users finding their router packing up or even DOA.
My Belkin Router was once updated to support this type of connection back in 2007 when 1483 Bridge connection began to be used by Danish and Swedish ISP.
Anyone any experience apart from that?

One last comment on Steve experience.
According to users experiences elsewhere it looks like that a connection via the above protocol would stop working after users were upgrading the firmware with a third party supplier BBTW to achieve a customized interface with more tweakings available but these uers have been other than lucky as the image supplied would break the Bridge Connection functionality with their ISP leaving them with no possibility to revert to the previous image of the firmWare as this is still unavailable on the Buffalo support site and thus with an unusable box.
