Really nice chair....
operating system:Not ApplicableGot this to replace an old and tired chair in my new office. Its very sturdy and comfortable, the only thing is don't be confused by "gun metal" colour in the descritpion. It does state that they are nylon - the base and arms are indeed plastic and look slightly duller than in the picture but it still looks very nice indeed so dont be put off! Its a bargain price too if you look at competitors prices!
Comfy, but not well constructed
operating system:Not ApplicableReceived this chair within 16 hours of order (great!). However, it was packed rather haphazardly in the box. The components seemed fine except 8 screws seemed to be missing (H and I in component list - instructions). Took me about 20 mins to finally realise (after going through boxes and bits of packing material I had thrown away) that they were screwed into the holes in the bottom of the base unit of the chair (seat). That would be okay (though would consider a warning a good idea or just put them with the other screws in the plastic zip-lock bags!) except the fact that upon trying to remove these screws it turns out the provided Allen-Key is too big!! So I wasted another hour trying to run round our industrial estate asking if local businesses happened to have an allen key spare. Oddly, there were no end of allen keys, from other chair constructions - but they were all too small!!! Finally someone came to my rescue with a toolkit in his car. Then, as the holes were not terribly precise, by the time I had put the chair together (with on bolt on bottom of chair sticking out slightly because it would not go all the way in), the allen-key was stripped on the useful end (the short end) from the bolts and turning them hard enough to get each bolt in the slightly misaligned holes. Sigh. Oh, and when putting on the arms, the bolts that attached to the back of the chair would not screw in with the supplied washers, as they made it just a little too far for the length of the bolts. So these had to be screwed in (just) without washers. The arm bolts connecting to the base (seat) fitted fine with washers, but then this bit is slightly narrower. Finally, sitting upon it after, though, it is indeed a greatly comfy chair! But I am not convinced it will last long - however, at the price it is decent. I weigh about 18 stone, if that helps.
