Works fine witn Linux
operating system:LinuxI've had one of these cards for about a year and have used it on a Pentium 90 and an Athlon 650 machine under Linux (SuSE 8.1). It has always been a success. I have digital video recorder software running which just records TV / Radio programs on a schedule. The card never gives any trouble an the output is great. Can't comment on the supplied software since I just don't use that.

operating system:Not ApplicableI bought this product after wanting a digital tuner card for some time for a HTPC, I bought this card before seeing these reviews here so I was a bit worried upon finding them. After receiving the product and I installed it it worked great first time.
I do not know why so many people have been having trouble with this card as it installed fine first time with no problems, the software included worked fine and it found every freeview channel there is first time (using the crystal palace location, which out of the south east loctions wasnt the nearest to me). My postcode is also listed as not being able to receive all of the channels although I still do!
Much better picture quality then my freeview set top box and with the added functionality of recording in mpeg2 which I can author straight to dvd. Overall a great and functional product.
WINTV Nova T PCI and Windows MCE Media Center Edition
operating system:Windows XPGot this card from eBuyer. Wow a big box with not much inside...LOL
I am building a Media Centre, using a ASUS Pundit P4, Pentium 4 3Ghz,512Mb Ram,200 Gb hard drive.
I have tried the Pinnacle 300i but this card had very slow responses to the remote, crashed with the latest download of the software, and when working would only pick up the BBC Freeview Channels, even when my set top FTV box picked up the lot. So the Pinnacle 300i was not successful.
Tried also the ARTEC USB FTA box. This was good, but it was not compliant with MCE 2005. Also when rebooting, failed to initialise via the USB port, the programme closing down it's self saying no BOX Connected?
So it was down the WIN TV NOVA T PCI CARD to return my faith in TV Cards.
Follwed the instructions and installed the drivers that came on the disc. MSE 2005 then saw the card and asked to find channels. It found them all. However....when clicking on MY TV/LIVE TV, MSE 2005 gave a message regarding video codec’s?
I then found out I needed a 3rd party video MPG2 codec for the TV to be shown using MSE 2005. I downloaded a trial version ( 30 Days ) from NVIDIA, MSE 2005 Version.
Straight away, up came the picture, and it was very clear with great sound.
As for the remote, it will work with MSE 2005, but is very limited. Record,Play,Stop,Volume seemed to be the only buttons that worked. Apparently, you can alter the infrared ini file, so it works more functions on MSE, but it seems to be a bit hap-hazard. You would be best in getting the official MCE Remote and sensor.
Now the odd bit...I can not get the WINTV 2000 programme to work at all. It wont tune in and crashes all over the place. I have downloaded all updates, with no success. Still I am not bothered as MCE 2005 has PVR facilities and has a great GUI.
So all in all....1 out of 5 for the software, but this generally the case when it comes to software for TV cards for some reason. For the hardware...5 out of 5.
Word of caution if fitting in a ASUS Pundit barebones......It's a tight fit, but it will go in.
SO there you go, if your using this card on MSE 2005, don't forget your video codec’s.
Good card for Linux users
operating system:LinuxThis card now uses (Nov 04) the Conexant chip set and uses different linux drivers to the old card.

This card performs better than the AverMedia DVB card which gave me a lot of errors regardless of signal quality.
