Great Product
operating system:Windows 7First of all, I have to recommend Ebuyer for the superfast delivery. I ordered the above product at 5.40 p.m. and the I received it the following day at 9 a.m. in the morning, when I had selected Free delivery and the website mentioned that I was going to receive it in a week. More than happy with Ebuyer.
About the product, I have only had it for an hour or so. I do not have USB3 port and so I cannot comment on its USB3 speeds. However, I am currently copying about 31Gb of data at one go and it seems to be taking it well. After about half an hour of continuous copying, the drive is very cool. It is small and light as well.
The reason for the 4 stars is the casing. Although it says Aluminium, the casing seems a bit plasticky and not very robust. Otherwise, a fabulous product.
Annoying popups
operating system:Not ApplicableThis would be a great drive, however Toshiba have sneaked a virtual CD drive into the firmware.
This means, when you plug it in you get an extra CD drive appear in your My Computer screen, which Windows then auto runs and pops up am internet window with Toshiba's online app and gadget store. EVERY TIME YOU CONNECT IT!
Only way to disable this is to disable the virtual device in device manager.
So the drive itself is fine, I've used it on USB3 and it is extremely fast indeed, however also it's a very annoying product so for this only 2*, there are plenty of other drives on the market which I'll be buying in future.
