Features VCA 2.0 with SuperScale
VCA 2.0 flash virtualization software allows certain direct memory access (DMA) and data management functions. operating system:Windows 7There are some key areas where we see great benefits from the Hybrid. Windows boot times are significantly reduced within a few restarts, game loading (and application) showed similar benefits. We also noted increases in performance when copying batches of small files. Benchmark junkies also get their fix of speed with ATTO and similar tests scoring the drive highly. Write speeds also often far exceed what is possible on Intel Smart Response Technology. The aim of this drive was of course to offer a mix of the speed benefits given by SSDs with the storage capacity of a mechanical drive while still keeping the price reasonable. On that front OCZ have done well. OS use is much more responsive on the RevoDrive Hybrid than Intel SRT or mechanical drives. We can store far more than the average SSD and with a much lower cost than 1TB of flash modules. An ideal solution for those who want the benefits of a high capacity SSD without the costs normally associated with 1TB of NAND Flash storage.
