TL-WA830RE is designed to select “Range Extender” as the default wireless mode, working as a “relay station” to repeat the wireless signal flawlessly to longer distance where is previously outside the coverage of the existing wireless network. Due to leading Wireless N technologies, it can overcome obstacles and enhance overall network signal quality, then providing the same reliable network connecting as wired network. It boosted my 2 Bar wireless signal to a 5 Bar wireless signal - Excellent Product - A must buy.

I installed it downstairs next to my talktalk Huawei HG520b Wireless Router, so the range extender would give out a 5 Bar wireless signal strength. Once installed I then took the extender upstairs into a room that normally has a 2 Bar wireless signal strength from my router. To my joy the extender boosted the wireless signal strength to a 5 Bar wireless signal strength.
I thought it might not work or if it would it would of given a poor 3 Bar signal strength, but as said; it really did improve my wireless signal greatly. An excellent product that I cannot recommend enough.
A doddle to set up

Fantastic bit of kit
operating system:Windows 7I bought two of these after contacting TP-Link in China to ask if they could be 'daisychained' to further extend a wireless network. Received a very quick, polite response confirming that I could. I have extended a Netgear router's range throughout a very large Georgian house, across a courtyard & then a very large detached 9 bedroom annexe. I now have full signal & a 7.9Mb download speed at the end of the furthest room. 5 minutes to set up & excellent performance. 3 year warranty too!
Compatability
It should be compatible with any router, however you should ensure that the IP address that your original router allocates to this extender is a static IP address this should ensure no issues with connection. I see no end of people complaining about various makes and models of extenders without realizing this fact. If you do not understand how to set a static IP address in your original router settings see the router manufacturers website and enter the product number which can be found on a label on the router. Also please ensure you order the correct speed of extender for your router, you will always be limited to the slowest speed in the chain.
