Because the NAS is situated in our bedroom I wanted one that was quiet. The Buffalo is whisper quiet. Excellent!! It was very much 'plug and play'. No problems and very happy with the purchase.

One must remember that you cannot add more memory but if you wanted that you would buy a different NAS in the first place.
