With its 16-million–pixel CCD sensor and Smooth Imaging IV image processing engine, the RICOH PX can reproduce any scene in high resolution. Noise reduction reduces noise for clear results even in night shots.
Image-sensor–shift image stabilization reduces blur for crisp, clear photos at high zoom ratios or when lighting is poor.
5× (28–140 mm) optical zoom can capture objects close up, at long range, or anywhere in between. Add to this SR digital zoom based on super resolution technology that can achieve results equivalent to 10× optical zoom or a lens with a focal length of 280 mm with almost no drop in image quality. Telephoto photography at zoom ratios equivalent to up 1,344 mm are available with digital zoom, allowing you to photograph worlds invisible to the naked eye.
Auto resize zoom shows its strength in telephoto shots of distant subjects. Zoom in up to 36× (equivalent to a focal length of 1,000 mm*). Image quality is assured by recording only the portion of the image that contains your subject. Auto resize zoom is made even more effective by the high-resolution, 16-million–pixel image sensor.
The 720p HD recording capability also includes a HDMI micro to enable direct TV viewing provided you have the correct cable (optional) and an HDMI slot in the TV.

WOW. 100% KID PROOF!!
operating system:Not ApplicableI saw the title "KID PROOF" and immediately knew i needed to buy this. To start with I doubted the title, but after having this camera for 3 months now, it is still in WONDERFUL condition. My 2 year old son thinks it is great to play around with and now I no longer need to be worried! The photos are great quality and this is great value for money. The 2 year warrenty is such a peace of mind!
Sharp and clean images well exposed
operating system:Windows 7I found my experience with this budget camera pleasing, with fab pictures, unlike one very unrealist reviewer giving it one star. The Pics are nice & Sharp and also clean images well exposed, concidering the small price tag. 5/5. buy before they go.!
wary
People need to understand that with all cameras that the megapixel is not an indication to how good the pictures will look ! Don't let 16 MP fool you here folks.
Poor quality
operating system:Mac OSXThe images taken with this camera are sub par - most modern phones take better photos. The video quality is also very poor with footage even in good light being very grainy.
I am sending mine back.
