excellent processor, even if cant unlock to the 6 cores can easily be overclocked, ive got this running at 3.5 gig with an aftermarket cooler, and barely pushes 40 degrees

Neil yes it works with that mobo and any am2+ board but may require a bios update.

system now super fast boot up with ssd drive less than 15 secconds
Mine unlocked stable on 5 cores
window index score 7.5
with 4 cores index score 7.4
please remember to turn off turbo boost if you unlock to 5 or 6 cores as it can damage the chip
Excellent processor for the $
operating system:Windows 7Battlefield 3 forced an upgrade from my e5200 LGA775 system which was bottlenecking my 6870 gfx card.
Selected this processor as it is AMD's best quad core available at a good price. Overclocked to 3.6
Budget biostar board A780L3L works fine (BIOS is rubbish compared to Gigabyte or Asus so if you do not know how and what settings to change you might struggle to overclock)
8GB DDR3 Corsair low profile and a very snappy system!
Freezer 13 cooler is excellent!!
BF3 now runs like a dream, no lag at all even in heavy fire fights on a 64 map!
May try and unlock cores when the processor struggles in a few years time but no need right now, it does everything I want!
Temps: 14C idle and 29C load during BF3 and Prime 95
What an awesome processor... who needs an i5 and an empty wallet ?
AMD will continue to get my $ as long as they look after the little guy ;0
