The SteelSeries headset features 50mm drivers with a remarkably wide frequency response that delivers rich and detailed audio reproduction. The headset delivers a clean and clear soundscape from mood setting music to critical 3D positional sounds and alerts. The headset offers two interchangeable ear-cushions that provide long-lasting comfort: Open-type cloth covered foam ear-cushions with hear-through functionality and closed-type leather ear-cushions with noise dampening foam that increases passive noise isolation. The headset can be dismantled in 4 separate pieces, which allows for compact and easy transportation. The right ear-cup features an “invisible” pull-out unidirectional microphone system, that can be discretely hidden when not in use. The durable braided cord includes built-in volume and microphone controls.

Fantastic audio and noise cancellation, maximum portability
operating system:Windows 7After purchasing and testing several headsets below the £100 mark i found that this headset met my needs perfectly.
I game on both my desktop and my laptop and am constantly on the move. This meant that due to the nature of my working and home environments I would looking for a high quality headset with excellent noise cancellation, audio quality and portability.
The audio quality is excellent, with noticeably effective bass without going over the top. While gaming / listening to music I could not discern a single sound made by my brother, who was sitting 2 meters away from me playing Battlefield 3 on high volume on his XBox.
The headset is comfortable to wear, and for those who game with gaming laptops can be disassembled into 4 parts for maximum portability.
For desktop users the noise cancellation is the deal breaker here as the Steelseries Sibera V2 has slighlty better bass in my opinion, however for those who game on the move, be it with a laptop or console, the shere portability of this headset makes it the best choice by far.
