The DU-520 provides five type 'A' downstream ports for connecting USB peripherals and USB hubs. Configured directly by the operating system, the DU-520 operates in accordance with EHCI specification and compliant with PCI version2.2. Attach Any USB Devices to Your PC.
As a standard USB host controller, it directly interfaces between the USB bus and the operating system. The DU-520 operates as the root USB hub to provide five downstream interfaces. It will accept USB data from any attached peripherals, hubs, or other High-Speed devices in compliance with USB Specification version 2.0. Supporting low-speed 1.5Mb/sdevices, full-speed 12 Mb/s devices and high-speed 480Mb/s. each port of the DU-520 creates a bridge between the attached USB peripheral or USB hub and the host computer.

No problems
operating system:Windows XPHad no problems with this card, installed it put the cd in the rom and it was up and running

operating system:Windows XPI put the PCI card in and it was working quickly with ease! I now have 11 USB 2.0 ports - although I don't actually use them all but why upgrade with a PCI card with just 2 on? This one has 5!! D-Link is a very good company too.

operating system:Windows 98This was bought to replace my v1 4-port Belkin USB controller.
It installed without any fuss - even though my (USB) mouse was necessarily inactive during the install.
I like the pre-installed driver concept. But make sure you read the installation instructions!
My old Microsoft USBv1 mouse works with no trouble. (c.f. a cheapo "Mercury" USB2 card which failed to recognize the mouse.) All my other devices are fine as well.
And this one's only half the price of Dabs' nearest equivalent card too. What more can you ask for?
No additonal drivers needed for Windows XP SP1a
Thought I'd chuck this in my system during the re-installation of XP Home. Card works flawlessly now, although as already mentioned by someone else, my USB mouse did work while the hardware was being detected!
