Impressive
operating system:Windows XPHaving owned one of these before, and having spilled water on it during a late night movie watching session... I naturally wanted a replacement. After recently discovering ebuyer, I take a look and find the same model for £10 less than anywhere else
The product
Fairly robust and durable. Not resistant to water though.
Even though I had XP, I had to install the software to use it and now I can plug and unplug through my usb hub as I please
The sound quality if perfectly fine. No noticable difference to any other 5.1 card I have heard
Not sure about the 7.1 sound, I am not too confident that that would be worth listening to over a 7.1 speaker set
The long and short is as follows... if you have a laptop and use it as a desktop replacement to watch movies, play games etc, then this is really worth a thought. Providing, of course, that you have a spare USB port
Gret external soundcard
operating system:Windows XPIm a mobile dj by trade and needed a new external soundcard to use with my laptop which is running PCDJ RED. This fitted the bill perfectly. It's strong and has taken a few knocks and bumps and I've not noticed any difference in sound quality compared with other more expensive soundcards.
It was easy to install and set-up and although i have XP Pro and it was noticed and automatically installed as soon as i plugged it into the laptops USB - i installed the Trust software and drivers that came with it just to make sure.
This soundcard is a good allrounder and is perfect if your machine hasn't got a sound card as it will let you to play mp3's, watch DVD's (with sound rather than without), playing games (with sound) etc...
Easy to set-up with PCDJ too. So if your looking for a program to Mix mp3s and have one player going to one mixer input and another player going to a second mixer input the combination of the Trust 510ex and PCDJ are perfect.
Origionally i planned to mount this inside my mixer flight case but now i just have it on the top as the soundcard not only looks good, with the blue light around the mute button that flashes when in use, but is useful and practical.
The only downside to the soundcard is it doesn't have optical in or out - only the standard connections you'll find on basic soundcard such as Front speakers, Rear speakers, Mic input, and line in etc... but you can't really expect anything more for the cost...

operating system:Windows XPThis is a great bit of kit for the price. Very easy to use, the software is pretty good and the blue light on the top looks cool. No reason to not give 5 star!
Cracking piece of kit
operating system:Windows XPThis really is a cracking piece of kit. I wanted a reliable/stable/easy to install sound device for a Windows 2003 Server acting as a Media Center Server.
This is WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) verified and as such, the drivers are included with Windows 2003 - didn't even neeed the disks. It installed by just plugging in and was up and running in minutes. It has been stable and reliable and does the job perfectly.
If only all hardware was this straightforward. This kit gets 5 stars across the board, value for money, quality and reliability. I will definitely be looking out for more Trust products in the future.
