A nice looking clear fan.
operating system:Windows XPThe wires to the three pin plug are 45cm long and although not actually sleeved they are moulded together in clear plastic giving a nice silver effect. Much neater than plain old loose wires.
Antec have included an adapter, about 15cm long, which allows you to connect the fan directly to a four pin molex from the power supply and this is a piggy back pass through. It also takes the RPM sensor wire to a three pin plug so that you can monitor fan speeds.
The three position switch is conveniently on the end of a 10cm white wire, so easy to find once the fan is in your case.
The rated speeds are 1200, 1600 and 2200rpm and the claimed CFM is 21, 28 and 38. Antec claim 14.6, 21 and 27 dBA as the sound output. I could not tell the difference in noise between the lowest and the middle setting, they were both close to silent but then my system is quite loud and so it is difficult to tell.
You would expect to pay a lot more than £2.35 for a fan like this from a quality name like Antec. I rate it a steal!
The clear winner!
operating system:Windows XPBrilliant fan, very quite at low and medium and only just audible on high setting. Nice long wires you can run along the inside of your case to keep things nice and neat. Well worth £1.98
Worth the money for sure....
operating system:Windows XPBunged one of these on top of my Ath 64 Heatsink.
Doin a fine (quiet) job too.
The 3 speed switch is real handy, saves the messing with the molex connectors to get 7 volts etc.
I have extended the switch cable with some 3 way ribbon cable to allow the switch to be mounted outside the case. No need to buy a fan controller now:-)
Now then ebuyer, about the 120mm version..........
