Great...
operating system:Windows XPI bought this fan to replace a noisy, dying fan in my Q-Tec power supply. I am very impressed with the build quality, it feels sturdy, has no sharp bits and spins smoothly. I was also impressed to find that this fan is actually made by Y.S. Tech, a very well respected manufacturer of fans.
As for the usual 'noise to air flow ratio', I can safely say it is very good, it kicks out a lot of air and although it is not silent, it is very very quiet - I can't really hear it any more than my 14db silenX case fan.
One thing i do have to point out is that as this fan runs on ball bearings, it does produce a very small amount of vibration, therefore if you are going to use it as a case fan I suggest using rubber mounts rather than screws for maximum quietness.
All in all, if you are considering buying this, I don’t think you will be disappointed. 5* rating from me.
Great quiet fans
Have got a couple of these in my current rig and will be putting a couple into my new one when my Antec Sonatta II arrives. My AMD64 3000+ system runs cool and quiet.
Reduce your fan noise
operating system:Windows XPGot one of these on rear of PC, + two Akasa 80mm's pulling air in through the front of my case, would have had a third 80mm on the side but a custom install meant I had to use a variable thermaltake instead.
However these fans are so quiet, not silent as others have said but fairly quiet especially in comparison to the 'cheap as chips' ebuyer ones I fitted last year when I built the PC.
No annoying LEDS fitted to the fans, ample length cables with standard speed control cable present. My only real pet hate was that the cables come terminated with the very small power connectors, which did not suit my PSU set-up. However supplied is a conversion socket which is at least double ended so you have the best of both or rather three worlds!
As far as I know these are the quietest fans ebuyer sell.

operating system:Not ApplicableOver time you appreciate these more as they do NOT use sleeve bearings, which are the main reason for noisy fans.
Simple test to see if your fan has a sleeve bearing is have it horizontal and see if you can get any movement on the fan up and down if it moves its a sleeve bearing, chuck it and get on of these.
