operating system:Windows XPYes it does come with a driver CD. This card is extremely easy to set up. Plug it in, turn on pc, install software, restart!
If you have onboard sound like me, then you need to go to control panel, click on Sound, and change preferred sound device to "SoundBlaster".
I have had no problems so far. When I bought this card I didn't realise it has a Digital I/O on it, an added bonus! With the software provided you can use this soundcard for 2, 2.1, 4, 4.1, 5.1, 7.1 speakers.
The program on the CD has an equilizer, bass control, and lots of other cool stuff.
Cheap price for the good quality.

I tried every driver on the creative website none of them would work!!!
I spoke to creative, they dont offer support for OEM cards, luckerly the chap said "I'm not busy, bear with me and we will see if we can get you sorted out"
BTW He also said that oem cards should come with cd's ebuyer shouldnt be selling them without.
He has given me a link to a post on the forum which points you to a website which hosts ISO files of ALL the OEM sound blaster cards

As for the card, its a wicked little card, no more feedback from the old on board sound, crystal clear!! Its also helped with the running of cubase!
To the chap who asked about the 7.1 surround, each output powers two speakers, download the ISO file there is a instruction manual on the cd.
Oh also on the cd you get creative audio convertor and player..... Enjoy!
OEM = Cheap container, 4 ports is all that is needed.
Hi. To the guy that wondered why he recieved his card in an envolope...It is an OEM product. OEM (which is clearly seeable in the title of the product) means that the product will come in the cheapest available packaging...duh. Also, had you nothered to do a small ammount of research before you wrote a review which several people took as knowledge (check your reccomended rating), you would see that every sound card has 4 ports, specifically three ports for speakers, because 3 ports is all that is needed for any 7.1 speaker system. These ports are usually coloured orange, black and green. Anyone considering this card should definitly buy it if they are on a budget and do not mind some un-fancy packaging. V good for the price.
Sound as a pound
No problems installing this, just plug in and your away. Good buy and it won't cost you too much.
