Greening The Supply Chain

Here at Ebuyer UK LTD we take environmental policies very seriously.

We have an on site Quality and Compliance Team which over see all the policies we put in place. Ebuyer are committed to the greening of the Supply Chain. This means we are looking at the environmental impact we have as a business throughout the whole end to end process.

Wherever possible we aim to reduce our impact on the environment through implementing measures above and beyond our legal obligations. You can see this in action, if you scroll down to view the video.

Disposal of waste in the warehouse

The warehouse was designed to accommodate environmental policies. Ebuyer designed a system of transporting waste cardboard out of the warehouse, which enables us to also comply with Health and Safety legislation.

The waste cardboard is collected on a belt which goes around the whole of our warehouse and is then deposited ready for baling by our balers.

Waste cardboard and plastic balers

Last year Ebuyer installed waste cardboard and plastic balers.

We recycle all types of plastic including polystyrene and all types of cardboard. This waste is then sent to recycling companies to be recycled. None of our waste generated on site is sent to landfill.

Lighting within the company

When the company was first designed, Ebuyer incorporated automatic lighting into their design. All the lighting in the company works on sensors. If movement is not detected then the lights will turn off, if movement is detected the lights will come on. This has a huge benefit on our electricity bill and also reduces the amount of energy used when processing your order.
