The introduction of 3D TV that people can get in their homes should be "pretty special", according to one industry expert.
Stuff magazine editor Fraser Macdonald said it will be a great thing to be able to get 3D TV in people's homes rather than having to go to the cinema to watch it.
He added: "I think Sky 3D programming starts in April and the roll-out and actual kit will be available in the house later in the year [around] autumn time."
His comments come after Andrew Laughlin noted in an article for Digital Spy that Sky had confirmed to showcase its new television service in Westfield shopping centre in London before more public demonstrations later in 2010 in around 100 shopping centres.
The demonstration will include Arsenal's football fixture with Manchester United that was screened in 3D in selected pubs earlier this year as well as movies and ballet performances.
