Flo Rida sings in Simlish on Sims 3 game

A host of top music stars have re-recorded songs in Simlish for the forthcoming The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Late Night games.

Among the artists to blast out their tunes in the native tongue of the title's characters are Flo Rida, Kelis, Travie McCoy and former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland, who has had hits with Like This and Work.

Steve Schnur, worldwide executive of music and music marketing at Electronic Arts, said that getting the performers to sing in the language was one of the most unique and exclusive opportunities in the entertainment world.

He added: "For more than a hundred million The Sims players and fans every day, we are truly providing the soundtrack to their lives."

Consumers will be able to appreciate the product on the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 3, as well as PC with the Late Night expansion pack edition.

Other songs on the latter include My Chemical Romance's Na Na Na. ADNFCR-2468-ID-800055712-ADNFCR
