A video showing a US female footballer committing a series of violent fouls has become an internet hit.
Elizabeth Lambert, a defender in the University of New Mexico team, was caught on camera punching and kicking opponents during a game against Brigham Young University.
In one instance she is seen yanking a rival player's hair and bringing her down. The footage has been watched by millions of people online.
The University has suspended Ms Lambert from the team for bad behaviour and she faces disciplinary action.
Coach Kit Vela said: "Her actions clearly crossed the line of fair play and good sportsmanship."
Ms Lambert has since apologised for her behaviour.
"I am deeply and wholeheartedly regretful for my actions," she said. "My actions were uncalled for. I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions."
