The latest low-end multifunction printer from HP has been recommended by one reviewer for its value for money.
Writing for TrustedReviews, Simon Williams said he was initially sceptical that the sub-£30 DeskJet 1050 model would offer acceptable performance, but he was won over by the standard of the prints it produces.
"You might expect the print quality from the DeskJet 1050 to be adequate at best, but it's a good deal better than this," he remarked, adding that while its output is still "some way short" of HP's more expensive offerings, prints of black text are perfectly readable, while colour images are bright.
Print speeds are comparable for other entry-level printers and Mr Williams concluded by saying there is "very little on the market" that comes close to the DeskJet 1050 for the price it is available for.
Those who fancy spending slightly more on their printer may wish to consider the DeskJet 2050 model, while there is the 1000 model on offer for consumers who do not need scanning and copying functions.
