Reports indicate that Microsoft's innovative controller-free camera for Xbox 360 will be launched across the world in November next year.
The US firm is planning to manufacture five million Project Natal units for the release and buyers have been promised a mix of console and camera along with solus SKUs.
The device, which uses a number of cameras and microphones to track players' movements, may retail at under £50 when sold solo, claims gaming industry expert MCV.
As many as 14 games from publishers including Activision, Bethesda, Capcom, Disney, EA, Konami, MTV, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ and Ubisoft are being readied for the launch, according to an announcement made at last month's Tokyo Game Show.
Natal was unveiled earlier this year at E3 in Los Angeles and will be released nearly five years after the Xbox 360. Microsoft is viewing it as a way to stretch the lifespan of the hardware without having to launch a new console.
The first Xbox was sold in the UK for only three years before they released the 360, and summer Xbox studios boss Phil Spencer said the latter still "hasn't peaked".
