Philips 3D Cinema device 'has mind-blowing colour improvement'

The Philips 3D Cinema 21:9 Platinum has a colour improvement that is "mind-blowing", according to one critic.

In a once-over for Pocket-lint, Stuart Miles noted that a variety of new proprietary technologies has made this aspect, as well as black handling, better in both 2D and 3D.

It has a 58-inch screen and there is a three-sided Ambilight Spectra which displays the colours from the display onto the walls which makes the image seem bigger, according to Mr Miles.

He added: "The TV really is the canvas on which to paint the story and the Philips 3D Cinema 21:9 Platinum pushes it to the max."

And in terms of 3D, the device offers a "crystal clear" image that might be hard to beat.

Other offerings from the manufacturer include the Phillips 9000 series, which is Wi-Fi certified to enable consumers to watch films from Net TV or play videos from a PC on the gadget.ADNFCR-2468-ID-800057285-ADNFCR
