Australian firm Pioneer has launched a new notebook combining power-packed features with a solid design.
The DreamBook Lite has a 12.1-inch LED backlit display with a 1,366 x 768 HD resolution, with 2.5" SATA HDD and support for up to 2GB DDR2 RAM.
It offers a choice of processors between a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor or a faster Intel Atom N470 running at 1.83GHz, and features the 512MB nVidia ION2 GT218M graphics card.
For connectivity, there is Wi-fi support for networks up to 802.11 b/g/n, LAN, three USB ports, and an HDMI optional. Additional I/O options include a 15-pin VGA port, two audio jacks and even a Kensington lock port.
There is also a four-in-one card reader with support for SD, MMC, MS and MS Pro memory cards.
The DreamBook Lite has a four cell battery, although there is option for a six-cell pack which will give approximately 10 hours of usage between charges.
The machine weighs in at 1.45Kg, has a 1.3 PC megapixel camera and a 78-key keyboard with 19.05mm key pitch and 2.0mm key stroke.
