The combination of the PlayStation Move and 3D gaming is set to be "very exciting", according to one industry expert.
Christopher Dring, deputy editor at MCV - a trade news and community website for the UK and international games industry - noted that with titles such as Virtua Tennis and Killzone it will be like playing on a virtual reality system.
But he added: "I don't think traditional games will be replaced by this sort of thing, but it is a very interesting thing that Sony is developing."
Mr Dring pointed out that the Move products are similar to those on the Nintendo Wii, with Sony attempting to get PlayStation 2 users to upgrade their system.
However, Sony vice-president Ray Maguire told video game website Eurogamer last month that the manufacturer is not expecting a "massive day one" when its latest gadget is released in the UK on September 17th.
